One of the major changes to come with PureGDK 2.0 is the brand new website. To prevent any unforeseen problems with the transition, I have decided not to attempt to merge the old website's database with the new one.

What this means is that all accounts at PureGDK.com have been deleted and you will have to create a new one. Also, a coupon for a free copy of PureGDK 2.0 will be sent to the e-mail associated with your old account. This coupon can be used towards a future purchase at a 100% discount (free).

I'll try to get those coupons sent out later today. I don't know how long it will take for those who purchased from TGC to receive a coupon as I don't have access to your account information; I'm sorry.

I'll be sending TGC an e-mail about this later today. Hopefully we'll have a solution for you within the next couple of days.

All PureGDK.com users have been sent their upgrade coupon by e-mail:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=193848&b=38

I just sent Rick an e-mail with questions on how to handle PureGDK customers who purchased through TGC. I'll let you guys know what's up once I know more.

All that line does is login to the database. I don't see why it should fail. There have been several registrations today.

Try again?

I got the list today of all users who purchased PureGDK through TGC. I'll have the e-mails sent out to everyone soon.

I believe the records I received from TGC are incomplete. aerostudios, if the e-mail address associated with your TGC account is not the same as your forum e-mail "aerostudios@cox.net" then I definitely do not have all of the records.

Did you purchase PureGDK Upgrade or 'Complete' (the bundle with DBP)?

My order records show the purchase of the PureGDK Upgrade on Dec 1, 2009. And I can tell you I have used the PureGDK with Purebasic 4.31

My purchase account is atcsimulator@cox.net

There has been some confusion regarding the records of PureGDK purchases through TGC and the original list I was given appears to be incorrect. We're still trying to resolve the problem.

I'll keep you guys updated.

Did anyone here manage to install the RC1 version AND does it still work? Mine expired, and it also won't let me install it again, saying the version has expired!

You'll have to upgrade to commercial release. For everyone who bought full PureGDK v1 its free and it wont expire.

I did upgrade to the Commercial Release, but I used my work address. I have been waiting for my home address to work, but the website didn't like it. Why should there be a syntax issue with my email address? I then installed the 2 beta RC1 on my home PC, it worked, but after some days it said the version expired. Now it won't even let me re-install it. If my home address was accepted from the start, I most likely wouldn't have run into this issue at all! And I paid for the program awhile ago.

Try sending an email to support@puregdk.com maybe he'll reply sooner.

Still haven't heard anything regarding getting 2.0. I checked my PRODUCTS purchased and PureGDK Upgrade is still listed with nothing referencing anything new (not sure is should though).

I tried an email to the PureGDK support, but so far nothing. Is he taking a month long vacation? There has been no activity since Feb 4, I believe.

Hi, I cannot register into the site no matter which OS or browser I use. Even tried the WII to register.
I have sent email to support@puregdk.com but no reply as yet.
Also, I did not receive an email of upgrade offer even though I purchased the original version through TGC and downloaded the 2.0 beta version.

Please can someone advise?

Thanks

I was able to register at the PureGDK site, and received an email to confirm my account. Then after logging in, I was provided with a download the the RC1 of PureGDK 2.0. But, not the final version, although, according to the fact I purchased the PureGDK Upgrade, I am entitled to it and should have received a coupon from Mistrel. TGC should take a closer look into why Mistrel is nowhere to be found, leaving us all in the dark. If TGC is going to promote this product, then perhaps they should speak up and insist the man behind the product be more responsive. I am about to give up on using this product for my next venture. In the world of software development, time is money. If this is the kind of response to expect, that is not a good thing. Its been nearly 3 months since I explained to Mistrel my email account on record with TGC.

I finally received my coupon for the upgrade to 2.0 Thanks Mistrel! But, for some reason the site is messed up again and getting sql errors. I'll have to wait and try later I suppose.

There is no final version 2.0. Currently only RC1 is available. I suppose he'll release the final once he returns. To be honest there won't be huge difference between the RC and final anyway, RC is just the final step before releasing the product.

[Edit] - please ignore this post as I have resolved the issue.

Is anyone else getting a plugin error i.e. "Licensed Plugin is not recognised by compiler! Visit www.thegamecreators.com for an update".
I have installed DBpro 7.7 and installed commercial release of PureGDK.
This happens during activation of the product.

Running Windows XP SP3.

If anyone can help that would be much appreciated.

This is a well known issue. Since DBPro v7.7 is still in release candidate/beta state it does not recognize recently released plugins like Blitzwerk Terrain, Dark Occlusion, Dark Imposters, etc. Unfortunately PureGDK works only with v7.7 as it introduced some important fixes for it function. I have been holding back my major developments just because of this stupidity - how can it be in beta stage for over a year.

yes my thoughts exactly, totally rediculous, I guess TGC only care about AppGameKit now which I bought and never use.

It's no wonder that TGC care about AGK. They developed AppGameKit for THEIR OWN needs. TGC's first interest is to release their own games because that is where profit comes from. Making SDKs does not make much profit.

After the transition from DarkGDK to PureGDK I was able to bundle in the 7.7 upgrade along with the updates that should allow the 7.62 plugins to work. Try it.

Any progress on the RC5 ? There are really only 2 plugins that I need right now for my development in Visual Studio 2008 with VB.NET, and that's the DarkClouds and DarkAI products.

If I could use the DarkGDK with those 2 addons and VB.NET, I'd be happy.
