I'm working on a new game called "Devilish". It's going to be a Diablo clone with a little extra features. It has only minimal functionallity, but I am posting now to get feedback on frame rate. My PC is kinda fast, so I want people with not-so-fast PCs to try it and let me know what their FPS is. Here's a pic and the download:

The pathfinding is a little clunky, but I'm still working on it. I think it's mostly around block corners and through some door areas. I guess you three figured out the mouse-look, but for those that didn't, I'm sorry I forgot to mention it in the O.P. Right-click and hold to orbit around the character, Left-click for pathfinding, and left-click and hold for manual tracking.

If you click on a wall to pathfind, the char will just stand there....

EDIT:
For those with slower computers, don't worry, I will have an option to cut out the .fx and use normal lighting.

I get around 30 fps on my laptop, so pretty good, though if you click alot it goes down. Maybe a optimization issue, maybe just me lol.

Also, is there like a blog or a WIP post you can use to keep us updated? This looks quite promising.

I will post it in a new thread on WIP in about a month. I'll simply call it "Devilish".

I have a "waypoint" function that does some complicated checking when you click. I have modified it slightly to correct this issue (some), but I am still optimizing that part.

This thread was only to test the FPS of slower computers, so I won't be posting an update here.

Here are the current functionallities:
-random map generation (this demo only uses a specific random seed, so it always looks the same)
-Multi-pass lighting (Evolved's). I will be making an option to use standard lighting in the near future.
-player/monster animation.
-monster movement. (only 1 goblin, but several of them. only moves randomly)
-path finding.
-real-time occlusion of monsters. (will include other objects later)
-lightning spell effect.
-particle fire.

I updated the top post. It's still not good enough to be a full WIP, but I wanted to get more FPS tests. I now have some simple monster movements and two spell effects.

Lightning. Press the UP key to activate lightning.
Explosion. Press the DOWN key to activate the explosion.
