They look really nice! Only advice I can probably give you is upload them to photobucket, I don't think Image Shack allows page embedding.

Thanks, and yeah i noticed uploading them to photobucket was not the
best idea, but sooner or later I'l hopefully upload it to a better picture hosting website (if that's what you call it) .

It would work, you just have to use the direct link of:
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/9649/16617804.jpg
instead of the imageshack link of:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/84/16617804.jpg/

I use imageshack for everything. Never had any bandwidth problems.
Your models look nice and creepy. If I had to suggest anything, I would suggest breaking up the texture with a bit more variety. You've got the creepy skin tone down, and the blood, etc. how about some muscle/bone definition, etc. It sounds silly, but I'd throw a pair of pants on them, or if they are scifi, maybe torn pieces of a spacesuit.

Anyway, they look good and it seems like you are getting ZBrush down pretty well.

I have just updated the pictures and they now they all work thanks to: "CoughMist", and "travis gatlin". (I have added a special thanks right after the pictures).

And thank you for your suggestions, I went for more variety in my monsters textures, and ofcourse attempted changing the body around in a unique way. It was actually planned for my next monster to have his head missing and you can see his skull hanging out. As for the clothing I had never really intended the models to be in a game, but that does not mean i cant put some clothes on them so expect something on the next couple of monsters to come.

Oh, and these models were drawn in the 2012 version of autodesk mudbox (student edition).

I think it'd be cool for the tenderizer to have spikes growing out of his mallet-fist-things and maybe some ripped open skin on his arms with some pulsing muscle showing through. Or, maybe make his skin look a little more like the other monsters, so he looks a tad more like a mutated zombie.

Just my 3 cents. These are all VERY cool as they are!

I wanted the tenderizer to look more mean and rough to the players eyes, I did this bye using a muscular guys base mesh and adding the horror to it.

I will most likely add more detail to the next model and have some tissue tears, and veins showing.

I wanted this character to have some detail, but im d isapointed because I had only added 2 (or 3) detailed items on him. 1 the acid clots, 2 the skull, and 3 the cut on his left hand showing some veins (oozed blood oright beside it).

Yay!

mudbox... Ah! I was wondering why your UI looked so much different!

Quote: "I will most likely add more detail to the next model and have some tissue tears, and veins showing."
Ya, this is kind of what I was meaning. Not so much that they need to dress up or wear clothes, but that if you could could get some variety in the textures, you could really have some (even more than now) outstanding sculpts.

I like having variety in my texture making something new for each monster, for this poor fellow, part of his face is burnt off.

very nice tokyomage! I saw in another thread you doubt you will ever make a game...
with graphics skills like this you can make a kickass one. its all about atmosphere and that tenderiser chap looks really creepy.
for me, 3d graphics is the hardest part of making a game(besides actually finishing one )

again, very nice work.

Sometimes I like to use words out of contents

@Kezzla Thanks for the compliments, and I am now really confident about making games again with a good finish, in fact I have recently finished a game and am in hopes of uploading it to the Program announcements page.

How would that thing stand? It looks like the arm is so heavy it would fall over Seeing as these things are monsters you really are giving yourself artistic freedom. We can't crit on anatomy, just slight bits of realism like I just posted. Thats why you haven't seen many critics. These things are really cool though, I can't wait to see them animated.

The problem is, they all look the same apart from the major differences. For this guy you should shorten his legs and make them more muscular, maybe have a hunchback or something of that type and make him drag his arm around. As design runner said, there's no way he could stand with that thing on his shoulder so the above crits should make it a bit more realistic. Nice work so far.

@ Design Runner

Thank you for your interest, the only reason it is standing is because i prefer my monsters standing when editing them . In other words it was originally meant to drag it but I guess I could have indeed done something about it. I was originally planning on having the arm longer so it can settle on the ground easier.

@ Mike5424

Read above and thank you for your interest

Textures look very much the same, and extremely simplistic on everyone on them

Yeah, I have noticed that some what as well, but I wouldn't say all of them have the same textures. I think its the first couple.

I would suggest that when you model and sculpt, have the entity in a 'natural' position. Would make it somewhat easier to animate in the future as well as to keep integrity across the model while modeling it. You can see where gravity is affecting what parts of the body and such.

Sloppy example from the last one:

Zbrush has some pretty good Transpose features. I'm not sure about mudbox.

I didnt like him as much as my last couple of monsters, but I still think he looks daunting.

@Zero Slave
I see your idea, a hunchback kind of idea would make a creepy monster I think

I am sorry, but to be blunt: this last one looks like crap.

You have basicly just raped the polygons everywhere and it looks like you just used a grab brush on a small size and randomly dragged the polygons out.

Take a step back and plan your model, as this looks like what you do at school when the teacher is talking too much.

I agree with you completely, I also believe this was in every way rushed and needed way more time to perfect. My next one will hopefully be in every way better having much more detail.

I really did not like what I did with totem bruiser so decided to try something more detailed. I attempted a mummy and changed the face from what I had to a little more disturbing. Similar to chest reapers face. The texture may seem a bit to similar to the color of the bands wrapped around him but at a turned view there are small variations of textures on the face.

I didn't see this guy. I like the wraps. They work pretty well. His face somewhat looks like a knot on a tree at this angle, though.

I suggest you go for a completely different approach for your next one. Try using a different base mesh or transposing the body into different proportions. If you ever plan on getting these into the game, they would be great for some different normal maps for the same model, but as of now, they all look like the same model.

Pay attention to the silhouette. That is going to be the most basic starting point for any game model. Whether it be a sword or a monster.

Check this out:

Quote: ""..have to know what you are looking at within a fraction of a second. Is it a bad guy? Is it a good guy? Is it a monster?.. Same in films as well. A typical shot in a movie last only a couple seconds as well. The audience needs to know, what am I looking at, which direction is it going, What's happening. All those things are taking place, therfore a silhouette needs to be very very strong.""

He's got some very helpful advice and info in that video, as well as the second part.
