Hey, learning to script, and I love it. So request your scripts here, and I will attempt them no matter what. It is possible however I will not be able to do it at this stage, but I will try. Some script examples I have done are Health Bars, and a body armor script which links to more health, plus health regeneration.
Body Armor example:

Yea ill do that, at work now so when im back I'll do it, should be fairly simple. Like you mean it has weight x and then when the player picks it up it becomes lighter?

I actually don't think it's possible to just change the weight, unless you want the item to have no gravity after the play picks it up. Just change the item weight by right clicking

so the player can add up and subtract by pressing different buttons (is this even possible)

Like I said this is possible and have started it, but just for numbers 1-10 and only addition with be almost a thousand lines of code. I have only set up the individual HUD's, gotten the first number slot ready for #'s 0 and 1. And gotten the + Button to work and it's currently 75 lines... I don't think I will have the time to complete this, as I'm working on a game as well. But any other scripts you need I can do

I need a basic text script that is the code before and after the text I want to show.
Example: Character would be saying "Hi, Want to party?"
If you could write it so I could just change the text to what I want,(and tell me if the file goes into "MAIN" in the character values)
Because I am an idiot.

Yes I can do this for you, do you want it to happen at a certain point? Like when the player approaches a NPC, enters a room, or presses a button? And it will be placed as MAIN in a trigger zone.

Here's your script, sorry it took a bit longer thane expected, was having troubles finding time. Change "Your Text Here" to what ever you want it to say and your set.

Hey gozzy, I appreciate you trying to help, but this is a thread to help me help others and to learn, so I'd prefer if you didn't make your own adjustments, instead suggest I change the font size, as maybe the person who its for wants it the original size. Please don't take this the wrong way, just want to learn it myself, and have the stuff given from this thread be completely done by me, but if I need help I will ask

I would like a script, (For a triggerzone) where when the player walks into the zone, whatever weapon they have upgrades, so it doesn't give them a different weapon, it gives them the same weapon upgraded (Like pack a punch.). That would be a cool script, and trust me, I searched the forums and found nothing

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

What do you have in mind for upgrades? Added ammo and a higher damage count? One thing I can do (If I have the same weapons as you) Is make a script that when your in the zone, and press the button, it removes the players weapon, and gives them the upgraded weapon. As the idea I have requires the gamecore folder of the gun to be copied and name 'Gun - Upgraded' and set the upgraded one to have a higher damage, and ROF, and maybe less recoil. And the script would remove the normal, and give the player the upgraded version. What do you think of that? I would not be able to release it through the forums though as that would be allowing people to take a model pack weapon for free. So the only way I could do this is if it is a stock weapon, or a weapon contributed for free by a forum user. Or if I email the weapons creator and get permission to email you the upgraded files. If I cant, I will just create a walk through on how to do it.

Yes that is what I had in mind, less recoil, more ammo and higher damage. Save yourself the trouble of sending download, just plz post how to do it, with example, (Full script), and I will try to make the needed changes. Thanks

This is a script actually the Gozzy1999 has made already for the scifi pack. Just set the walls destroy to crumble, set its health to 25, then use gozzy1999's script and follow instructions. Boom, you have the script you are looking for ZacksQuest. The pack will be released in a couple of days, so when it is released you can use that script. Ofcourse, if Crosshair want's to create one that does exactly what you says without modifying the attributes, he can. Here is the link to the scifi pack thread: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=194396&b=24

@ZacksQuest
I would help you, but why ask me to do it then make a thread for people to do it? If you want me to do something, let me do it.

@AMF Productions Founder
Thanks for helping, I hadn't known of the scifi pack, I'm gonna check it out. Sorry for being delayed on the Upgrade Weapon Tutorials, I'm working on video tutorials for it, and just have had little time with school and vacation

Erm sorry if this is too tricky but could you rig up a simple AI ally script? Like just an entity that follows you reltivly close and fires at enemy entities? Thanks if you can do this

how about this. An ai entity flies over the players head and then disappears at the end of the waypoint.

Not to hijack the thread, but this already exists. In fact, I think an example is in the community guide.

I have been thinking about this one: A script that ends the level (Failure) when an enemy reaches a certain point on the map.

Make it so.

I got a good one. Take Erants spellcasting, and make it use a mana bar so you can't constantly fire.

could you make a script so that when you get near a certain enemy, fear turns on? the fear gives you 1.5X speed, makes the gun shake, and makes all attacks deal double damage against you. Conditions for it to turn on being enemy within sight and 5 squares.
