Hey there.
I've made a map in FPSC, and it has too many entities, which makes it unable to play. Could you help me, and give a clue on how to hide entities when entering a trigger zone? And I'd need them back, when crossing the zone again...

So, basically, it could loo like that:

||||||[Hide entities][Unhide entities]|||||
player--> ||||||[Hide entities][Unhide entities]|||||
||||||[Hide entities][Unhide entities]|||||

Well, if you still can't understand, I want to hide the entities by default, and unhide them after I enter a trigger zone. Then, I want to hide them back, when passing the trigger zone again.

you can use alphafade-commands in the scripts, but i dont think it gives you a performance boost. fpsc dont has to do the polys, but as the characters are still there it has to calculate the physics, checking everytime alphastate a.s.o.

you can try this: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=187181&b=23

if you want to, but watch out, has some special issues you have to deal with (described in the thread).

If you're wanting to hide entities to get a performance boost, you might be better off trying the culling feature in v1.19;

There is a list of commands and how to use them in the first post. Look for the section entitled 'WASP Official - Cull additions'.

Hmmm... How am I supposed to use these cullinh features? I've installed the fpsc v1.19, and after pasting a short ":always:cullmode=1" to a triggerzone this just won't work Could you advise me on how to use it properly?
