I want to state that I am not looking for a particular script, or asking anyone to help me write one. But after reading a couple of threads out here, a question occurred to me that I thought I could ask and see if anyone has the answer. And yes, I searched, but couldn't find anything.

Is there a definitive list of the available scripts, along with a description of what the script does? I'm not looking for the code behind the scripts, just the name and a description. For example:

Appear1.FPI - Default appear script for entities

Something along those lines, for all scripts in all model packs. Maybe even a third column to say what model pack or engine release they are for?

Anybody know if this exists? Would be handy to have so people could refer to that first before asking if [insert script description here] exists?

There is this thread. We can continue adding to it if needed. I believe that is why it is a sticky thread.

If you are referring to the general scripts that come with FPSC, I have a post that will be added here that will outline each script and their use/definition. I have three quarters of the information compiled and just need to set some time aside to complete it.

Not quite what I was looking for. Both links provided are regarding user-created scripts, not the scripts that come stock with any version of FPSC or those that come with the model packs. You'll notice that even I contributed to the list of user-made scripts.

If a list doesn't exist (and the application link provided I've already asked a question about uploading stock scripts for re-distribution), then I might have to sit down and write up a list of one myself.

As I already mentioned, I have a text file with a post that lists each default script and what it is used for. I just have to finish it and then post it. Unless you want to do it yourself, I was planning to have it completed sometime soon.

Either way is fine by me. I just think that this would be a great tool for the community to have so we don't have to hear the same "Does anyone have a [insert script] script?" any more.

If you do finish and upload, please let me know. If not, I can always work on doing one.

I description for all of the scripts that come with FPSC are in the manual. I don't know about a custom script list though.

Check the script that is assigned to the character (place the character, then right click on it to access the properties). For example, the Officer (pistol) character has the "people\pace10.fpi" script attached to the AI Main and "people\chase10.fpi" assigned to AI Shoot. If you look at the "pace10.fpi" script, you will see it uses waypoints by the ":waypointstate=#" command. If you look at the "chase10.fpi" script, you will see the character will attack the player once the player is seen.

Basically, it depends on A)the character main script; B)if it has a weapon; C)if it has a script attached to the AI Shoot field; D)how the script(s) are coded to react/respond. If the character is unarmed, then it will just stand there and do nothing.
