is there a way using 3ds max, and pandasoft's .x exporter to adjust the pivot point to something other that then world center? i messed around with it a little bit, but have had no luck so far.

this is what i am doing, make objects in max, export to a .x file, when loaded into DBP and positioned at 0,0,0, the object is not at 000 but rather where the center of the world is in relation to the object. this also effects rotation and other movement commands in DBP

what i want to do, make object in max, export, load and position at 000, and the actual object be at 000. and have it rotate and move on the objects center (or pivot point). anyone know if this is possible?

You can adjust the pivot point in max by selecting the 'Affect Pivot Only' option (second object tools tab I think) and moving it to suit. However, the pivot for the whole object should be at 0,0,0 as default, as far as I knew the pivots were only for limbs.

Maybe try exporting as 3DS and then converting to .X with DBConv.

Can't you just move the object in max to the required pivot point, reset the pivot point to the world centre, then that should do the trick. I know how annoying it can be to try and get objects from max to DB, but this method usually works for me.
