I'm an old school programmer. Been coding every flavor of Basic since 1982. However, that being said, I'm still waiting for my DBPro box to arrive so I'm a -huge- DBPro newbie. I have a quick question for an expert. Can DBPro communicate with a script (Perl, PHP, VBScript, etc.) running at a web site? Meaning, can I write a DBPro client app which talks (send and receive text, commands) with a single web server via URL or IP?

Thanks a lot for any help and/or advice.

Please don't double post, it is most annoying!

See answer in main DBPro forum.

As you are new we'll let you off (maybe...)

Boo!

Where does someone who is new to DBPro, but an expert programmer, post a non-newbie (aka expert) question?

I initially posted in the newbie forum but then thought it may not get viewed by expert programmers and hence receive no replies.

IanM: Grrrr...?!?!? Calm yourself please. I read the FAQ. I saw the note about multiple forum posts. However, where in the very brief FAQ does it address my question above? Did I miss it? I humbly apologize for the inconvenience. Won't happen again.

Spooky: Thanks very much for your help in the other post.

Heh, I didn't mean for you to take me *that* seriously

It's just that a lot of people see double-posting as a form of spam

Cool, thanks. I've been posting in forums for a long time and I know better than to double. I must have been tired or brain cramped or both.
