'For anyone who hasn't seen it, I highly recommend "Bowling for Columbine" (whether you like Michael Moore or not)'

Bowling for Columbine is a disgusting, nonsensicle pile of lies, half-truths and 'facts' taken from biased observers and shaped into a comedy/documentary by an anti-gun extremest. I seriously suggest you read this:

A very nice %it, indeed.

As for crime statistics, most papers, stations etc get their data from interpol. You can download their statistics here: http://www.interpol.int/Public/Statistics/ICS/downloadList.asp.

When you look closely you'll notice that you can't just compare the numbers at the bottom 'cause in some countries some offences are not recorded or at least not part of these statistics.

well, the fireworks in hull today are, well, very suprising.

it's now 7:30 and the sky has been lit up since it was dark (doesnt make sense, but you get the point). theres alot more rich people around here than i thought their was.

since im in the converted loft with the 'puter now, ive been looking outside watching all these fireworks for free lol, i just wish i had the money to be able to join in. about half hour ago, we got an empty firework on a long stick through the window, it just fell out of the sky, and now theres some crap on the carpet (which seems to be rubbing out).

but so far, thumbs up for the 'free' firework display

the fireworks have to land somewhere

the sky has been flashing for the last hour now. there's been a few screamer fireworks let off, but i like the ones that go up in the sky in a spiral.

but you cant beat a mega mega rocket to end it off

Living in the centre of a large city as we do is quite an experience at this time of the year. From 7pm until midnight it's like an episode of Band of Brothers. All we need is an air raid siren, couple of tin hats and the effect would be complete.

Cheers,

Rich

Hehe, the part where it's suddenly daylight when the monster rocket goes off - Malcolm rocks, and it's good to see the other characters get more storylines (Dewy is the best character IMO). I reckon they could make a spin-off series with Michael and his crazy German employers, that German guy cracks me up.

People tend to go a bit nuts up my street with the fireworks, I'm at the top of a big hill and the air is really clear, you can even see the firework displays in Edinburgh, a good 40 miles away. The smell of sulphur was thick in the air last night - but I often wonder why they have to keep it going till 11pm, fireworks a cool, but they're not that bloody cool!.
