Learn the basics first and then worry about games you'll have plenty ideas wen you finished your darkbasic principals and it's not that long to learn (1 year i guess)

I tried to make something immediately after Darkbasic came falling through my mailbox but i needed 4 months of learning before i could really make something interesting and thats really fast so just don't do anything to quick just learn before you act ok

LaterZ, hope this helped, y!Ck

fire2000, the simple answer is that anyone that is capable of making a game is already making one for themselves. Everyone that comes here is a dreamer of some type with a desire to create and a lot of their own good ideas.

If you want to see your game vision reach completion, you either need to learn a lot of different skills or create a team. As is, ideas are worthless. What sells an idea to other people are design documents, concept art, story boards, and background stories. If you can not bring these kind of resources to the table, why would anyone want to work (essentially for free) for you?

Build a good presentation, follow the suggestions in the Team Request forum (especially the message fix to the top), and then you may have a shot at getting some people to help.
