im an considering buying db pro and was wondering if i can export animated models from max 5 to use in it. Bones based would be an advantage but normal animations would surfice. Has any one accomplished this and if so does it need 2 b converted into .x format, if so again, does anyone know of a converter that will convert max 5 models with animation?

cheers

I don't think many people would have done this because 3DS MAX IS £5000! But try the 3DS max website for tutorials of how to export models, then the rest is easy.

yes with pandasoft's exporter you can export .x files with animation and textures from max 5... i know for a fact that it works with normal animations... but havent tried bone based animations yet...

you can get pandasoft's exporter from http://www.pandasoft.demon.co.uk/directxmax4.htm just go to downloads...

to set up pandasoft so it works with DBP use the settings from http://members.lycos.co.uk/mrdarclyte
