Why not merge the two packs and make it a joint project?

Sorry, I wasn't trying to steal your thunder. Like I said in your thread, your wip kinda faded away and I forgot about it... Please do continue, variety is good.

Who says there can only be one pack on the go at a time for a certain theme anyway?

Alright, now that that's all worked out, here's a picture of the M14 in FPSC.

I can't get the muzzle flash to work... I'll look into it more when I go over everything at the end.

hey vent just checked out this pack. I love it, and want to let you know that you're an amazing texture artist and that your models inspire me to make my own (less awesome) models myself. I really can't wait for this pack.

Thanks! It means a lot, your animations have inspired me to get better at mine.

Thanks, I usually use 3ds Max, but because I don't want these restricted to non-commercial use, I'm using Anim8or to model, and FragMotion to animate. The renders however, are done in 3ds Max.

I'm still using 2010 I think, even though I have access to the 2012 student version . I don't like the changes in 2012..

Very nice! Hope you don't get overwhelmed though... Weapons can get boring after a while

And yeah, the 2012 version of Max is really difficult to get used to... I'm stickin with 2010

Cheers,
Anayar

The SKS model sold this for me. It is my second favorite gun of all time. It would be first, but I have never even touched a G36c.

I can not wait for this to be published, I will buy if necessary.

Thought I'd bump this up with a new model in the pack, one that isn't a gun.

Big bump here, not a whole lot more to show. But I've been doing some small stuff.

But since that's not very interesting, here's more guns.

Lee-Enfield No. 5 Mk I - Jungle Carbine. Didn't actually see service in Vietnam, but I made it and like it... so here it is. I guess you could say Australia, New Zealand or guerrillas uses them.

And some texture progress on the SKS. I'd show you more, but my quota on CG Textures expired for the night, so I can't finish it.

Anyway, just wanted to keep this open.

If you can't finish, please release all that you have made. It is very good.

THEORY - you know everything but nothing works. PRACTICE - when everything works but don't know why. For me, theory and practice are combined: nothing works and I don't know why.

Thank you.

I think I will get these done, I've pretty much finished all the entities, minus textures. Weapons and characters will take a bit longer.

I'm thinking about splitting it up, so I can get something out.

You might do something with the textures. They look a little......lame to say at least. The wood texture on the first one is terrible and the other one is cool, but the texture of the metal needs redoing!

Ah, well that's because it doesn't have a texture, I just threw a material on it for the render.

not trying to push any buttons, (ironic cuz im press buttons on keyboard) but any chance there might be a really nice M1 Carbine?
Contrary to belief, it was heavily used in 'Nam. The M14 was more of a sniper weapon, but yours is fantastic

It's on the list.

Alright, I rigged a bunch of the weapons to the stock anims/hands, and I think they look much nicer.
