Dark GDK / {GDK2.0] Evolved's NormalMapping problem

Here are two images using Evolved's NormalMapping.fx. The top one was done in GDK1.0 and the bottom in 2.0. Why is there smooth self-shadowing in 1.0 and not in 2.0?

Do I need to use another shader for 2.0?
Is there something in 2.0 that needs to be set to make this work correctly that 1.0 didn't need?

Fixed. It was my oversight. There are 3 parameters before I put in my ID.... Duh!
