I knew zero about scripting and now can write basic stuff quite well.

I did exactly as Troutflies suggested, reading the Community Guides (and 100+ froum threads). There is no easier way, you have to invest a lot of time, because to write your own scripts you have to fully understand every little bit about it.

IF you really want to learn FPSC scripting and you allready need a certain script, its a good idea to completely create it from scratch, that way you learn a lot in very short time.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

Don't sell yourself short, I've made quite extensive use of your text/adventure scripts. In fact, I learnt quite a lot from them.

On topic; in my own case, I learnt from getting stuck in and trying to write my own scripts. I made a lot of mistakes and had to ask for help on numerous occasions, but that was all part of the learning process...
