Alright, so I'm a big fan of Pawn Stars. Well, a while back they had a huge problem with 4channers calling em up asking for battle toads. They are now selling it!

MOD EDIT (JEKU): The link contains pornography. Tsk tsk.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280894626040&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

So being the smart alek I normally am, I asked them a question about it:
Quote: "Dear goldsilverpawn,

if I buy it will you (the stars) sign it?

-jerico2day"

I got a reply pretty quickly:
Quote: "Dear jerico2day,

I (am not the stars), however, if you purchase it for the full asking
price, then yes, I can have the guys sign it.

However, they are
currently on vacation, it might take a while.
Thank You,
Gold & Silver eBay Department"

So I got to thinking, this would be one sweet piece of gaming and internet history! If only I had 1000 bucks

Well I don't. But maybe we can all get together and then donate it to a gaming museum. So I propose we all get together, decide a good home for it, and pitch in some cash to buy it.

I'll throw in 10 bucks of my own money. If you guys want to chip in, send a donation my way to my email address [email protected]. Once I hit 1000 bucks, I'll buy the game. If we're too late and/or haven't raised enough money by the time it sells, we can donate the money to a kickstarter or something.

So who's in? Where should we donate it to? What should we do if we don't raise enough?

No idea what that is but why dont you simply start a kickstarter for it?

EDIT

Fixed some typos

I thought of that but it doesn't meet the guidelines. You can't do a kickstarter to fund a cause, which I took to include donating an item to a museum.

Try indiegogo. A youtuber called "OfficialDuckStudios" is doing one so that he can have a website. Idk what category your cause falls under but, you can give it a go.

So the seller claims you're buying it from Pawn Stars, but he is not one of the guys himself and the actual guys are "on vacation" right now? I'd seriously question who you're really buying this from.

It also bugs me that things from the 90s are considered vintage.... Makes me feel old.

And $1000? Really? Here's the exact same item for only $20!

It's rediculously overpriced, but it's for the lulz and posterity If I were buying it myself, unless I were crazy rich, I would never buy it. But if 100 random people pitch in 10 bucks to donate it to a museum, well then everyone wins.

As for the authenticity, it's being sold on the right ebay account (see here: http://gspawn.com/ebay/). I don't think it's odd for chumlee to not be the one responding to all the ebay sales, so I think it's fairly safe. Also, I'd only buy it if they would certify it, like on paper shipped from their location with a signed seal and all that jazz.

I'll make an indiegogo project here today maybe.

I would never, in a million years, buy something for $1000 just because the Pawn Stars dudes signed it. I'd prefer to drive to Vegas and go to their store and take a picture with them!

I saw one episode where they threw a lady out (i think it was a woman) who was so angry, she pulled her pants down and peed in front of the store.

Do the network think they are funny by calling shows such things? Lol, walk into work and start a conversation off by saying "Yeah so last night I watched hardcore pawn with the kids and wife, was enjoyable", and watch their faces.
