What are the best tools to use to create your own entities and segments. I have played around with TGC tools and feel they might not be the best.
Can you just make them in a graphics program such as lightwave and make scripts for the entities when needed or is it easier to use a program that is out there that was made for this?

This is the script section. Although your thread does not deal with scripts, you may have wanted to post in the Models & Media section for better responses.

To answer your question...

Segment Editor Kit for making segments.

Milkshape for entities; some use Blender, Wings 3D.

There are a variety of 3rd party tools for creating media here.

For modelling dummies like me its the Entitiy Workshop by wetham (just use search). Its library only contains basic shapes but you can load any .x model into it,resize it and retexture it within minutes.

Note, that you may not redistribute the stuff you make with EW if either the texture or the model aren't yours.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

I have that program and it seems pretty basic. I can do some basic modeling in lightwave and milkshape so that should work.

I am just getting back into this and have a lot to learn yet. I am just playing around trying to learn stuff. I am not doing anything serious but I do have a few good ideas some of which will require the RPG mod but that is a ways off yet.

@Dragon Slayer

I am in the same boat. Im an old timer on here but my ancient PC barely chugged along and has'nt been able to run FPSC for the last three or four years. I finally have a new PC that can run FPSCreator great but Iv'e lost some of my tools as well as can't remember how to use half the things. Basically starting from scratch again.

I have some fun ideas to try. Anxious to get started again.

Does anyone know how to contact Terry Schwarz? I can't get my old copy of Signs IV working. Does he ever come on the forums anymore? His old web site is gone.

Thanks for any help!
