I've been working with this one script forever and decided to can it because it simply won't work. Yet its quite basic. I'm trying to get a HUD to display when the player is crouching and have a different HUD display when he is not crouching.

Any advice?

It should work with the PLRISCROUCHING=1 / PLRISCROUCHING=0 condition and the script put onto a triggerzone right at the start of the level. There should be a PLRWITHINZONE=1 but no PLRWITHINZONE=0, so the script remains active after the player left the trigger zone.

Got it to work!

I'll share my code for others that may be interested for I have not seen this in the search results turn up.

Teabone

Glad you got it working because I didn't think it was possible.

Thanks for sharing the the script with us all and I'm sure I will use it someday.

All the best of luck.

I remember, when the both of us where talking about that 'some' time ago, we had to use a SCANCODEKEYPRESSED=X workaround because PLRISCROUCHING hadn't been in the code then

And @teabone, thats a cool idea to display a hud. And sorry for me describing the conditions the wrong way, but you figured it out anyway

Its quite alright you sent me in the right direction. This could be pretty handy for those that want to have an icon display showing if the player is crouching or standing.
