Newcomers DBPro Corner / stupid bitmaps won't work! HELP!(please...)

i just got darkbasic a few weeks ago ,and I'm doing a project for my comp tech class. I'm in charge of landscaping, but I can't get the bitmaps to load, it keeps telling me they don't exist. what can I do?

if you could post the code that would help because you could have wrote it wrong most likely you
1.spelt the bitmap name wrong
2.didnt put the extension on "bitmapname.bmp"
3.the bitmap isnt in the correct folder:- make a new project then put the picture in the folder proberly "c:\program files\Dark Basic Software\Dark Basic\myproj\project name\" that is just a guess
