I have a single animation I made in 3ds max converted it to .x with panda exporter. and wrote the fpe file. And just cannot get the animation to start.Its a simple tree swaying back and forth in the wind. I am new to this and would love an experts advice. It is just 100 frames. and one single animation. Please and thank you

I believe you should change animmax to 100 . I don't know what it does though . I only compared the file to another .fpe files . they all have animmax set to 100 .

You do not have the model pointing to a specific 'script' in the 'aimain' line.
This is why it is not animating.

Oh , I'm sorry I should have read the thread better .
I thought you know how to stat the animation but it's not working . though You meant you don't know how to get the animation started using scripts (I hope that's right) . That's fairly simple actually . go to script bank and copy any script file , edit it using Notepad , and remove all script lines and type the following :

the number is 0 because the animation you want to play is anim0 in the .fpe file .
now rename the script file to what suits you , and then edit the .fpe file . put your script file name in the aimain field , and you're done .
For more help on FPSC , I recommend you read the FPSC guide in Docs folder , also download Script Syntax list as it's very useful . You can find it in a sticky thread in this forum .

This is how I tried.

Fpe should also be:
;Animationinfo
animmax = 1
anim0 = 0,100

Is this boned animation or vertex animation?
