Ok. I've searched the forum and no info was available. This seemingly simple problem has been tormenting me for the past 2 hours.

I have a computer console entity which presents the player with a question. If the player gets the correct answer, if sets activateifused=1, and in the if used field, i have the lift.

I checked the default lift1.fpi script and in the descriptor, it states it will bring the lift to the player if activated. Great, except it doesn't do that. I tried putting the lift on a level closer to that of tha player, above the player, below the player and nothing seems to have any effect. Once the player answers the question and the lift becomes activated, it doesn't even work as a lift anymore. I tested that by dropping down the chute to where it was placed, and it didn't work anymore (it did, however, work beore the script activated it).

Is there a way to cal the lift to the players level by activating it in the ifused field of an entity?

Thanks to the scripting Grus for any help in this

Yeah, I found this right after my post last night. I tried it out and it works great. While trying it, however, I realized that I was not usinf the lift tube base with the lift already in it (segment, I was just using the lift entity. This works fine for stepping on and going up/down, but it does not respond to the ifused activation technique!
I still have to test this in my program, but from what I could tell by replacing it in link you sent me, I realize that I have wasn't using the proper lift.

Thanks so much Storyteller for the help
