Hi,
It's been a while since I've been on here, so I've sorta lost some of the little skill I had! lol

So, can anyone help me with these?

1) Is there any way to rig and animate NPCs other than Character Shop?
I have 3DS Max.

2) Automated camera?
For example: you get to a trigger zone and an automated camera movement takes over to show the location of an enemy then cuts back to you.

3) Entities. How would I go about bringing models from 3DS into FPSC? I know TGC has an entity application, but is there a beginners guide?

4) Are there any terrain makers compatible with FPSC? I was looking at T.ED, but it doesn't say anything about FPSC

Thanks in advance!

1) fpsc uses x-files with seperate textures, so you can use any program-combination that can finally build x-files. there are some effect-restrictions, but basically you can use any 3d-prog to build models and finally most of us use fragmotion for conversion.
and of course possible with 3dsmax.^^

2) look into cheds script syntax list, there are some interesting camera-commands with v119/120.

3) use known apps or copy a fpi that is near to what you wanna do and alter it.

4)same as 1) as long as you can finally get an x-file, anything works.

@maho76

So, if I make the terrain(or anything) into a .x file, I should make it into an entity?
How do I make entities solid (so they can be walked on)? Do I have to set up the mesh faces in a certain way or are they automatically solid?

depends on what collisionmode is set up in the fpe. you can turn it off or on choosing different collision, from box to mesh (there is a thread anywhere around here describing it, also tutorial. look into some other fpe to get an idea. you can also place terrain as a segment, but as i have never done custom segments, i shut up here.
