I'm having a hell of a time getting my script to behave how I want to. I've been lurking forever, but I'm at wits end trying to figure out how to get this entity to do what I want it to, so I figure someone here is smarter than me and can point me in the right direction.

I know I can use pace.fpi to get an entity to move in a general sense, but what I ultimately want to do is have the entity roam the level, attack the player when you walk into their range of sight, and once you get away, for that entity to resume it's random search for you.

Anyone know how I can do this? I'm gonna go bald by the time I figure it out.

You can look in the Official FPSC Community Guide on Page 90.

The script is called SEARCH FOR AND SHOOT PLAYER by Funny.

What the script does is that the enemy roams the area looking for the player. When the enemy spots the player, the enemy attacks. When the player is out the enemy's sight, the enemy still searches for the player.

I think this script may do exactly what you are asking in your original post.

Best of luck to you.

Cheers and Beers ,

King Cobra
