Load 3DS, X, B3D and save to X for DarkBasic.
Preview 3DS, X, B3D animations.
Export to DBO // there is another freeware product that I made that can do this. See Here: http://www.captainwicker.com/macpcapps.htm

Created with Blitz3D and BCF GUI

Links have been updated
Oops, I seem to have misplaced the original source code. There may not be anymore updates for AnimX unless I take the time to rewrite it from scratch.

I tried previewing an object and it worked fine. I did get confused by the camera depth but when I lowered it, it made sense. Does it have a high default value to begin with? I will try all three of your conversion programs over the next couple weeks. If I end up using them do you want me to link to your site?

your program works pretty well, here are some things that I noticed.

clicking on the c drive for the first time doesnt take you to c root. you have to click on another drive and then back for it to work.

the camera roll function keeps rolling until you reset the camera. maybe get it to snap back to zero after mouseup.

the zoom distance isn't great enough for all models, maybe make zoom out infinite so you can see bigger models. eg buildings from fpsc packs.

I also cannot get the view animation feature to work.

maybe look into using the windows file loader found in gogas free dbp plugin.

That way you can use your library links to easily find your media rather than having to get there through the root drive. although the file loader you do have is well made and generally functions well.

good job, well done.

What system are you running? Does the mesh loaded contain animation?

I am running it on win 7 64bit.

I loaded one of the animated tropical pack character models. it is a bone animation.

It is probably a glitch in the Blitz software. On Windows 95/98, bone animation doesn't work at all.
