I am going to buy some software from the Game Creators and I just wanted some advice on what to buy. My budget is about $200 and I am doing it just for learning purposes. My wish list is DarkBasic, The 3D GameMaker, DarkMatter 1&2, Cartography Shop, Music Maker, and Video Deluxe. Obviously I can't buy all these for $200. So what should I buy? Also, can the models and objects in DarkMatter be edited? And if so can it be done with any of the things I listed?

well i personnally wouldnt say that the 3d games creator is great but thats just my opinion!

I'ld go for DBPro and MS3D and if money is left over, DM2

and yes, the static objects can be edited with MS3D. The animated ones can also, but you will loose the textures and animations, unless you have 3DS, which if you did, the $200 limit would no longer apply

well i already bought the 3d game maker thinking it was great i haven't recieved it yet but is on it's way everybody says that it is bad I WAISTED MY MONEY!!!!!!

how do you know that until you have tried it? You Don't. Based on your posts in these forums you sound very childish - sorry to say, if that is the case then you should STOP, RELAX, WAIT for the package to arrive - see if it is what you thought it was - STOP POSTING all over the place because I guarentee the mods are gonna delete your posts and possibly boot your a*s from these forums, which, btw, arent for 3dgm!!

3D game maker is a very simple application that takes away the HARD core codeing of a game. Its for people who cant be assed with Loops variable and fucntions, but want to by pass that and put there own images and modles in game. and klnock one up in a day or two. Its basicly all point and click.

But thast not to say you wont like it, see what happends when ita arrives.

Buy Cartography Shop 3 ($64 I believe)

-Easily make great 3D worlds.
