Hi Room_liam, welcome.
I suggest you first grab some commnity guides and read over them to help you in understanding scripts. What you want is fairly easy.
I take it you just have a guard following some waypoints and when he see's you the game is over? There is a condition called "plrcanbeseen" and an action called "newgame".Placing these into your script will give you the result you want.

What main script is your enemy character using?

Welcome to the Forum.

Download FPI Edit Pad from this link:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=129738&b=23

This is a great application to help you with FPSC scripting and 'all' the commands and actions like the ones you want to see can be found in this app (right hand side when new script is created).
Do yourself a favour and read through some of the 'stickies' at the top of this scripts section because there is a lot to learn from them.

Good luck

Ross tra damus is right, the FPI Edit pad is a must have when scripting. Here is a quick link to the community guide.

Dont forget to use the search function at the bottom. If you get stuck, ask for help.
