Hi,

I'm new here so I don't know if this is the right place to post this. New to C++ and Dark GDK as well

Anyhow I installed Visual Studio 2008 Express and Dark GDK

(college requirements)

I ran VS before installing DK as per instructions.
When going to file>new>new project there is no wizard showing up.

When going to the program directory where DK is installed there is no directory structure. Just the Dark GDK exe 161107 and the EULA.

I clicked on the exe and preformed a repair. Still no luck. I uninstalled, reinstalled and still no luck.

I have my first C++ project due tomorrow and I can't do it until this is resolved. Any help would be appreciated.

OS
Win 7 64 bit

Thanks

The installer intalls another installer which you must run.

You need to run that to install DarkGDK.

Hello skeeterz71 - And welcome to the forums!

Which college is this, asking you to use Dark GDK? might be handy for TGC to be aware of it, as it is always good to see it being used in the Educational world!

See you around!

I have exactly that a few times. I get the option to either repair or install. Thats it. Nothing else shows up in the directory like I assume should like the wizard etc.

Just to post back. Initally the • Microsoft DirectX 9.0c SDK wasn't installed. When I installed it, I didn't rerun DarkSDK again. I should of read directions first.

Everything is working correctly
