Hi folks,

I'm a newbie to GDK. I came across a program that requires "D3DFunc.h". I'm using MS Visual Studio 12 Pro C++ and the latest DirectX. I tried locating the file in the GDK install directory and I couldn't find it. When I go to compile the program, I get this error message:

main.cpp(8): fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'D3DFunc.h': No such file or directory".

I've looked all over the internet and I couldn't find a solution to this problem. Can someone please help?

D3DFunc is an external libary for DarkGDK, download it from this link: http://www.dbdepot.co.uk/downloads/D3DFuncGDK%20v3.7.1.zip

Thanks for the quick response. I've added the file to my include directory and referenced it via the Property Pages. The compiler now gets past this hurdle. Now, I'm getting another error:

LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'dxerr9.lib'

I did some research and found out that this library has been deprecated, but I haven't found a solution yet.

Any suggestions?

Try installing the 2007 DXSDK from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/3/3/f/33f1af6e-c61b-4f14-a0de-3e9096ed4b3a/dxsdk_aug2007.exe

It seems to work for other people. Good luck
