Hey I was wondering how you would create a shotgun blast in DBP. I know I posted this once before but no one gave me a awnser I could comprehend. Well to avoid confusion I am not talking about makeing an acuall shotgun I mean making/coding the pattern. Any help is appriciated.

Cheers,
Christian

PS Thanks in advance.

You could try playing around with particles, but I don't think that they'll be flexible enough.

Or you could try creating a cone, switch the culling off, and texture it with a dotted texture. You can then scroll the texture from the point towards the base.

Or maybe someone else has another suggestion

not like a muzzel flash. I could try the cone but it doesnt seem like it will work as makeing the collision would be hard. and particals drop and die too quickly.

Try making small cubes(since there small and low poly) that go off at a random angle from the muzzle. Then just check the collision of each box(boxes are really eazy to check collision for). Then, you could make a red cylinder[the shell](although I dont' think the cylinders for DBPro function properly(no tops) that flies out when you shoot.

make one plane, texture it with visible bullet shapes(like a star field with less and bigger dots)and make the rest invisible, scale it up as your shots move away
