Hope someone can help me with this.
Read some time ago that player footfall could be turned on/off.

plrfootfall=x 0,1

Cant find anything on npc's though, is there such an action lately for enemy characters?

Also is it possible to reset the player trail?

Edit* Fixed the player trail (up to a point)
resetmarkers.....duh!

Still need to know if there are any new actions for npc similar to plrfootfall=x

I don't trip over...I do random gravity checks.

There currently is no action for the enemy footfall in the source.


There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

Pity, I realise its handy for player when crouching,sneaking etc, but reckon its more likely to be required for enemy character which might not be human. Had this same problem way back with spiders where they wore boots.

I don't trip over...I do random gravity checks.

There is no command in the source as blackfox said but its very easy to add.

Its really needed for non human enemies, quadrupeds/flying/crawling/slithering and such or even enemy characters that dont wear boots.
Would be ideal to assign certain footstep sounds to individual character entity's but even being to turn off footfall would be great.
You could assign any needed sounds in the script.

Yes, it would be easy to put in and very handy. Great idea.

Ah, this would be so nice s4real. I hate having crawling or slithering creatures with footsteps
