Which version are you using? 1.17 and above should work well with windows 7.

I am using the latest version.
On the laptop does not work too.
Only sometimes starts, but terrible quality and post effects do not work.

I use windows 7 just fine, I dunno whats going on with your FPSC, maybe the poor quality is because of your PC specs or graphics card.

I am using FPSC 1.19 and I have Windows 7. I don't have any issues. I use FPSC on my Windows xp as well and for some reason some of the versions wont work correctly for me. Cosmic told me to try 1.17 then check it to see if it worked and if not to try the next one up (1.18) until I could get a version to work correctly. On my Windows Xp, I have to use 1.18, but Windows 7, I have to use 1.19 because I couldn't get the others to work correctly on it. So try different versions.

Run as an admin. And be sure you have UAC turned off.

For a best update, in my opinion, stick with 1.17, because 1.18 and 1.19 aren't the best.

Currently I'm still on the beta 8 on the 1.20 update since I missed the rest and beta 16 gives me the same problems you have.

Thank you all, now works, but what about quality? It's all pixelated.

May I ask what version of Windows 7(Pro, Ultimate, etc.)you are using?

The reason I ask is, before I re-installed my OS (I have Ultimate)I had a few little problems with FPSC and I ran it in compatibility mode and it fixed the issues I was having.
