I'm making a fan-game based on the old DOS shooter Blood. The one with robed cultists, gargoyles, spray cans and voodoo dolls. This game has a specific system of dual wield I want to emulate in my game.

I'll elaborate. I don't need any "true dual wield". I don't need wielding two different weapons or shooting with two separate buttons. None of this Skyrim crappo. What I need is a system that allows to dual-wield two of the same weapon and fire them simulataneously... with a catch. The catch is that the ability to dual-wield is not always present, it is activated with a certain power-up: when you pick it up, certain weapons of yours are replaced with their dual versions, and replaced back with single versions when the power-up expires.

Is it possible to do so via scripts?

Like Perfect Dark 64, whereas the guns alternate fire with one button (press, shoot right gun, press, shoot left gun, hold, shoot both automatic)? Or both guns fire simultaneously every time the button is pressed?

Well if you purchase Model Pack 6, it has dual wield MP5K's and dual wield Ingram Uzi's, you can always email the person who made the models and ask if you could retexture them and then they could work for you.

Just a thought. It would be easier than creating your own, but creating your own could have a lot of advantages too.
