Hey guys D13 here announcing my new pack- The NightCity Docks pack. The media will be done in the same style as the previous NightCity pack only with a nautical theme. Some of the buildings will be enter-able. 99 objects are planned for this one as well and for the same price. I'm hoping for an official release for this one as well, but I haven't approached TGC yet. the pack is only 33% complete as of now and I will approach them when it's closer to completion. Here are some in game shots of the progress. I'll show some in modeler shots as well for some of the buildings. There will be Facades of buildings as well as LOD versions to save on processing power. Enjoy! Any comments or critiques are completely welcome.

Indeed it's like an FPSC Renaissance in lieu of the coming FPSCReloaded.
Here is an in modeler shot of the firehouse. Only firehouse I found fit to put in was a close facsimile of a certain re-purposed one bought by a few men who like to bust ghost, lol. could be used for a fangame.

Well, you can't say fairer than that

I loved your nightcity pack, so I guess you can expect a purchase from me when it's released.

Good luck,

Status-44 of 99 complete

@MaximSokol- Glad you like it! I did see your thread on making more art-deco type models, but I didn't want to hijack it with a plug for my pack. If you like this type of archetecture, check out Model Pack 66. It has tons of stuff similar to this; in fact this pack is meant to be used in tandem with MP66. To answer your question I live in NewOrleans in the US. Heck I could make a pack on this city alone,lol...hmmm future plans, future plans.

@ncmako- Thanks I was hoping people would get a kick out of it, but also realize how close the architecture type it is.

@RickV- Thanks! Will send that email soon! You guys are the greatest! This is just the incentive that I need to get cracking on this pack.

@Scene Commander- Thanks and indeed you cannot get fairer than that! Rick and everyone at TGC have been completely great! Also glad you like MP66 I may create one more Nightcity pack after this one or just sell supplement stuff in the TGC store, and of course there will be another freebie pack after the release of this pack.

Here is an update. It could be a warehouse or an Ice house.

@Cosmic_Thanks man, Love to see what you will do with it.

@Ross_ thanks! you guys are the inspiration that pushes me harder.

@Sepp_Thanks I'm glad you like the first set, this one should tie in seamlessly to MP66. Hope it serves you well when it's released.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I took a small hiatus from modeling just give my brain a reset.I do have an update for the next models to be added. The Lighthouse. My dilemma was the spiral staircase, but no more. A lot of patience went into this, lol. I'm sure there was an easier way to get it done but Oh well.

disturbing these models look amazing and you're easily one of the most talented artists on this forum. I haven't forgotten about colorado for aeguls mod, but things have gotten in the way (and i'm very lazy ). I still need to buy the night city pack, but i'll probably just buy both it, and this pack when they're released. keep up the great work.

spiral staircase, the unreal engine had a tool for making them, I'm talking 7 years back, its probably still in the newer versions, you can make any type of spiral stairs with it, but it will be a brush so you have to weld the verts in a poly editor program as exporting brushes has open edges so need welding with a low number. If you want a free tool to weld the edges, use delgine

@lotgd- Thanks, but I do have to clarify, that the textures in that pic are not mine. I have since made my own.

@cyberken69-Haha cool! I wonder with the new goggle technology they are coming out with if looking down it would really give you vertigo. Glad you like the NC pack. I'm doing my best to offer 2 versions of each building in this one=enter-able and non-enter-able.

@Bugsy_ Thanks for the kind words, but I honestly couldn't have gained my skill set without the great critiques from you guys and my fellow artist. Looking forward to seeing Colorado in action.

@fallen one- Thanks for the info. Making one in a modeler wouldn't be a major problem, it's just in FPSC single model staircases aren't always the best for getting stuck in geometry. That is why I made one using segments. the angle of the twist was easy using simple geometry math, the hard part was positioning them by trial and error to be aligned correctly in the fpe. So this is a segment that goes from floor to ceiling using the 10 model step method and can be placed just like any other staircase.

More coming soon guys.

Thanks Guys! As for the time period, like the previous pack I based the buildings on an art deco style from the 1940's but they are grimy and dirty so they could exist today or even a post apocalyptic future. The pack can stand alone or be used with the previous NightCity pack as well as many other packs that TGC has to offer.

These packs are set up for shadermaps, but the shaders belong to other artist. The line is in the .fpe and .fps files but are commented out with a ;. Most of the shaders are free and found on this board but are not mine to distribute. They do give the models a shiny wet look great for rain or snow.

@Astech- It was definitely inspired by Lovecraft. Infact, some of the signs for the buildings read'Gillman House' and 'Marsh Cannery'. Any Lovecraft fan worth his salt or seasalt recognizes those names immediately.
