Fpsc's lava segment really doesn't look all that good, I will show you how to make it look a lot better! first off you want to make sure you have a water able version of FPSC. here are the few steps
1. First lay some lava segments like this:

2. Now place walls around the lava for 2 layers:

3. Now place a platform on the top layer and around the walls, so when you test the game you have something to stand on to look at the lava!

4. Now place a player marker on the platform you just made.

5. Now test the game and see the default result

6. Next place a trigger zone on the layer even with the lava, and set its main to water:

7. next place lights around the level above your lava, i cant really show you how to do this it is all preference and change with each shape the lava is. Here is my finished result!

To get the full effect you have to test the level also.
Have fun with your game making!

Thanks Tomahawk - like most good ideas, it's so logical after someone else figured it out. Well done.

Isn't that just so true?

However, I don't know where I'll be able to fit lava into my game . . .

Forgot to add in the tutorial, you might want to put a red light instead of just a regular light.
