im opening scripts with notepad to edit but it will not let me save in the fps creator files folder im getting an access denied message and how do I save edited scripts as .fpi

That helped me get them open and save them but none of them actually work in game im simply trying to make subtitles with trigger zones

Have you set your permissions to full control in FPSC(read & write)? Sounds like your only allowed to read them.
With FPI Editpad you probably save your files as new ones with different names maybe? If you still have problems post what your working with so far (scripts).
