While busy with my other project, In particular doing a domed area, sort of got a "little" side tracked.Well got annoyed that I couldn't pull it off.

This doesn't fit that theme, so making a little side pack call Battle dome.

Why Battle Dome ?

Well boderlands had a sort of dome arena, so why not FPSC.?

12 segment blocks squared, Bit small to make a multiplayer map out of it. But would be nice to have a Boss Battle, or Enemy spawning frenzy to the death battle.

To add some depth to it, not going to add a viewing area too small, going to add a arena in the middle to add a little more.

Also because it is a dome, the out side can be climbed, and most likely the player will get stuck, will be adding a fence around the base of the dome on the outside an thus keep the player, from even trying to climb.

6k poly's isn't too bad considering the size unfortunately adding more detail is just asking for trouble, it's perfect the way it looks like now.

So a little side quest pack lol

Nice work Wizard. It reminds me of the last map on Portal 2. It's looking awesome by the way.

This looks pretty cool, wouldn't take very many changes to fit into my scifi game.

@Burger
Please note if you do make changes, FPSC segment editor doesn't like it, so you going have to do things manually or email me, I have my ways to get is imported into FPSC segment editor

@sic1ne

Fully enclosed area.

Decided not to do the middle area, too much of a collision problem just have to do the fence around the outside base.

Looks like a missle silo, it needs ramp stairs or lift for it to work though. Perhaps segments so it can go below the ground.

The ones with open areas, could have glass in them for under sea domes.

@wizard of id, when I said changes perhaps I should have said additions, ie it would take just a few things to change the feel of the entire dome altogether. The fully covered one is closer to what I was imagining, as well.

Also, does it support doors going in and out?

@Burger

I was wondering that as well, changes? Lol no problem wouldn't have mind you doing changes as well.

Well it's not a door per say, But the mesh opening should offer no difficulty to ally and enemy a like.

My only problem thus far, that I am a bit stuck on it the outside of the dome, as it's angled you can climb that,which I don't want

Can't you put something around the outside so far up like a ledge or spikes, that way the player can only climb so far.

I reject your reality and substitute my own...

You have to block from the bottom, problem is, it's two meshes, so once you climb on you can't get off the mesh wants you to commit suicide

House sitting for the next 2 days and what do you know power is off again At least I got a sms warning this time about the planned 5 hour maintenance.

So by the weekendish is hope if I can make a nice fence or wall or what ever to cover the area outside the dome.

Hey dude. We live in South Africa. There is always a power outage. Lol! But unfortunately, you are now banned Wizard of id. Pitty. You were a valuable member here. I shall represent our country proudly. And I won't vent my frustration on "fallen one" for giving me advise.

It just screams bossfight

Very impressive! So far I never succeeded to create good in/outdoor meshes. This looks perfect actually. Very useful too, I can see many tactical situations for this in a scifi/modernday shooter.
