Iv'e got a program written in C#, I tried to get it working on a mac using mono but its refusing to do one of the major functions. Are there any free services to use a PC in a cloud, I know they have some time limited cloud services to use a mac, what about a PC. My own PCs are not working so I'm stuck trying to get this program to work.

VirtualBox + Windows 7/8 trial. Or spin up a Windows VPS with RDP.

EDIT: Is this a program you've written, or one just somehting you need to get running?

Download wine or Wineskin and you can run it from within OSX. Or set up Bootcamp with a Windows trial.

Ive got it going now, you know what they say, always darkest before dawn.
I found a great service to play games by streaming it, Onlive. Now all I need is a good cloud service to use fpsc, my PCs are ancient, I dont want to buy a new one either. For rending Id pay for a renderfarm, and if I can rent them online, why buy one when I'm happy with my mac for my needs.

A cloud service will not work for FPSC. I'm not sure what compression algorithm OnLive uses (some say it's custom, some say it's standard, I imagine it's probably a bit of both), but it requires a hell of a lot of power to render, compress and pipe the frames to your computer. AFAIK there aren't any generic cloud offerings like this (your best bet would be renting a BitCoin miner, or finding a render farm as you mention - but it's not going to be cheap at all, and I very much doubt they'll give you OS / hardware level access).

You have a perfectly decent computer already. The cost of a Windows license (if you don't already have one) is <£100. Bootcamp or virtualization are the two cheapest options available to you - they will also work a damn sight better than cloud options.

Which model do you have? I believe any recent Mac has a decent (enough) graphics card in it.

Aye, I wouldn't use a PC in a cloud, my fear of heights would get to me.
