Is anyone else having trouble posting comments or liking a video on YouTube? Every time I try to comment it says "Error. Try again" and when I try to like a video I get: "This feature is not available right now. Please try again later.".

This has been happening since yesterday. Is it happening to anyone else?

Haha. Out of all the other buffering crap and general issues I experience on YouTube, it's a wonder I am not getting the same thing you are.

In terms of quality, YouTube really is going down hill...

Have you tried to swap to the HTML5 player, since I did that, I have had a lot less problems with youtube.

Ah! I'll certainly have to try that. Thanks!

Edit:

I opted in, but right clicking on videos still brings up Flash options. Is that normal?

Found that it's only happening in FireFox (latest) I can post and like no problem in Chrome.

Odd.

I think I've been using the HTML5 version for the past year in opera. There was a way to access it before they announced its availability.

Even if you opt-in to the HTML5 player, videos with adverts still use the old flash player.

Aye, I recently disabled adblock on YouTube as I felt it was the right thing to do, so will enabling that again make the HTML 5 players work? My logic is that it would disable the adverts.

Speaking of bugs on YouTube, has anyone else had that problem where even a fully-buffered video will erase its buffer and begin re-buffering if you try to seek to another part in the video? It must be costing the servers so much in bandwidth!

I have observed that on pretty much every single video player I have seen in the past few months. It really irritates me that YouTube limits their buffering to 30 or so seconds in advance to save bandwidth but fixing the un-buffering bug doesn't take maximum priority.

I used to think they limit the buffer size so you won't have the whole video at any given moment. But that would be pointless since its so easy to download the video from most sites anyway.
