The game has been submitted to Steam Greenlight. If you have an account with Steam and would like to see the game make it you can

I voted yes.

I saw the 'criticism' on the GreenLight comments list; don't let that get you down. People don't care what goes into the project, just what they can get out of it; and these MuPPeTs sound like they expect you to make Call Of Duty 10 in your bedroom for them.

There are plenty of twists and unique selling points that will spring to mind as you go.

This is what I am talking about. They want you to do well, and mean well but they will only understand a few things about making them, but a great deal about playing them.

To woo these kind of people, more time needs to be spent on sound and visuals; and most importantly a unique selling point, which could be a twist to the genre or a distinctive intriguing storyline derived from interesting issues, emotions or topics. This kind of stuff could be developed with some help if you can find any...

Players can't really all be convinced at this stage; this is why I keep my project in development communities until it starts to look 'buy-able'.

But you know what you are doing.

I added the game to my game database a few weeks back, with a mini-review.

Who knows maybe when my world editor is finished you could use it to enhance the graphics and build shader materials.

Keep up all the good work.

Greetings all,

I am not sure how much the DBP forum is visited nowadays but I figured I would post it anyways.

I have restarted working on Acrogorpon after all of these years. it has been something that I have always wanted to complete.
I got motivated when I saw it featured in one of the YouTube videos titled TheGameCreators vs The Fans
This is being re-written completely from the ground up. Everything so far has seen a huge improvement. I will be incorporating ideas and items from all of my past attempts/projects that were my stepping stones to where I am now.
I have updated the first post in this thread to include the current screenshots. As you will notice from the start I am working on a super ultrawide monitor.
Aside from the menu, the graphics in the images have not been touched as I was just getting them to load in the game so with that in mind.

The first screenshot shows the latest menu screen

This shows the d_xmas map from the very first demo of Acrogorpon.

This is a map called d_ruins which was never finished nor released. It was primarily used in the very early days of Acrogorpon.

This one should be familiar with those who played the Bloodshed Tournament demo. It was called bst_village

This looks like a neat game you're working on! Is there a current URL or possibly Steam or itch.io location where it can be played?

That is really good to see a game project being revamped and resumed. I admire your level of dedication, and I can relate to what it's like resuming a started game project, or sometimes even just an idea for a game project, a number of years after its initial vision. I wish you enjoyment and success in your game project and future endeavors!

Also, thanks for the link to the nostalgic video in the previous post! video URL

Hi GemGames,

You can download the older demo here:
https://www.arhgames.com/acrogorpon/about.html

The game works fine but it's just missing an audience.

Demo ran great, solid 400+ fps. Smooth controls, only suggestion would be to switch default to wasd.

Thank you for checking it out, great suggestion.
I will add some sort of default profile options in the coming update.
Did you play by yourself or did you get to try it with another person?
I am in the process of getting the game on Steam, hopefully sometime this year.
