ah right, i couldn't find one with dbp either so heres the db one for you to download

http://redeye.dbpcommunity.com/DBConv.exe

just put that .exe in the same directory as you .3ds file and run it, you'll get a screen up and be able to view the converted models etc

A simple search of the web will turn up 3dsconv which is the command line program included in the Directx SDK for converting 3ds files to X.

If you are using Darkbasic Pro and want to load a 3d studio object you do not need to convert a 3ds to X file instead just load it like this

load object "FileName.3ds", FileNumber

Deep Exploration is an awesome piece of software, 3D Exploration (it's earlier version) is also great if you can find it anywhere. I use both extensively.

3ds support is back in with patch 5 of DBP so you can load 3ds files again, although i've not played with it at all. I got so used to working with x during patch 4 that it is just the natural way for me to work now .

God created the world in 7 days, but we're still waiting for the patch.
