You cant say it was a second string team! Hesky, Owen, beckham, ferdinand, seaman, campbell and the rest would be offended to be called secon d string

if you would like to notice, the first half had alot more better players in it than in the second half (exceptions of rooney and vassell, and thats about it- my opinion anyway).

so if they played the players from the first half for the full game, you would of been in for a good old fashoined arse whooping

the only reason you won, is because sven was *experimenting* with his team, i mean how could you see if someone was good or not, if you don;t play them with the rest of the england team? how would you know if they fit right in place under pressure? this helped sven decide who's going to be in future matches.

Anyway it's how u play in cup matches that matters, not friendlies, and unless I'm mistaken England have only lost one under Sven - against the world champions!
