I created a static entity but I want to animate it to roll and fire guns. I tried to make the treads to roll but the only tutorial shows you how to make a character to walk. I have included my model in this post. I used milkshape to create it so if anybody has any pointers on how to do this please help.

Neat work!

Unfortunately, I'm a total dutt when it comes to animation. Perhaps you'd get a quicker answer if you post this in the 3D board?

First off.... you can not animate that in animator and import it to fpsc. Use milkspape3d for animating.

make the wheels round like a car. you can't do much with those treads.

you can save a lot of polies by not extruding as much.

Robot looks cool though. good work.

I had watched the videos for the animation tutorials for milkshape but it only explains how to animate a character such as a man not a robot such as mine.Could someone explain to me how to do this? I want the wheels or treads to rotate and the middle cylinder to rotate.

That would be awesome! Thank you seppgirty
I would rather do it myself than have someone do it for me.
If you can leave a link here please.

here is a video on how to rotate a simple wheel in milkshape 3d. If any of the more experienced MS3d users find this to be wrong please let me know.

i hope this helps Riccetts.
