Hi everyone.
I have this problem that's been bugging me for days. Been working on a simple hung "fishnet" between two poles. The "fishnet" is textured to a flat plane (black back ground) Upon setting the color to alpha (black) I lose all quality in the texture. Very flat, dull.. see pic attached. Any suggestions? I am using .dds files, should I use .png or something else
Would a shader help?
Thank you for any help.
best

Try adding this line to entity .fpe.

;visualinfo
reducetexture =-1

I don't entirely know what you mean by this, .dds uses an alpha channel, yes black is full transparency but you dont state if your net is actually textured or simply colored.

I don't trip over...I do random gravity checks.

Ah...you got me thinking rolfy. It is just colored.
When I did exported without color to alpha it just showed as
a black plane/box with the net painted on it.
ok, I'm thinking I need to start over again on this one.
thanks rolfy

Ok, went slower and a bit more careful with this one. Does this look alright? Is this acceptable or does it need more work
Input appreciated, thanks.
