I've just purchased Max Payne 2 today and would just like to say that it is amazing

Anyone else out there got it? If so then what level or chapter you up to?

Also...if your thinking about buying it, then do!!!

You get a bit of a shock sometimes when you don't expect anything to happen, and then all of a sudden...they do!

Still great though

If you like MP2, you might like Dead To Rights - its less violent (but somewhat more action). The only problem is that its very console orientated (mixture of keyboard and mouse controls), with the emphasis on keyboard...

Oh, and there is no proper way of exiting the game...

How long is MP2 in comparisin to, say, Half-Life? I completed the latter in two days. It seemed a good length to me. Though the ending was utter crap.

MP2 is two days gaming, less over multiple goes...

Quote: "So long as they can never disable the reset button I'm all set"

And fortunately they dont disable CTRL+ALT+DEL either...
Try a demo (if possible first) - see if you like it. I like it - its not as good as MP2 graphically (or controlwise come to that), but its got plenty of action plus a dog.

I heard the pc version of Dead To Rights has a bug that quite effectively stops anyone from playing it pass the tutorial.

1 day for me. But then again, Max Payne 2 is more of a movie than a game. and good movies don't last even that long.

Plus it wasn't Rockstar mad the game, they might have helped, published or whatever.. but they didn't make it.

Keyboard not detected. Press F1 to continue.

I bought the game last night, overall it took me approximately 8 hours to complete. Although the gameplay isn't very long, it's still a very good game and the end sequence is quite moving. The whole game was filled with little comic jokes just like the original game as well as paralelled storylines on the TV's. That Dick Justice show is a classic.

I don't know if anybody watched the whole credits of the original Max Payne like myself and saw the "Max Payne's Journey has just begun" line at the very end that hinted at a sequel. While watching credits for this one I thought that perhaps this would be the last of the games and we'd get a closing line such as "Max Payne's suffering is over". However, contrary to what I thought and what the end graphic novel suggests (don't want to give anything away ), instead, the last line reads: "Max Payne's Journey through the night will continue" - Looks like there will be a Max Payne 3.

Best thing I ever saw was a disk for Doom that came with one of the mags back years (and years) ago. Basically was 100's of levels for Doom. Was dead good. So obv. you start randomly playing a few. Doom-XXX looked like a good level, and you assumed that XXX meant loads of violence etc. But nope. Actually meant loads of hardcore pictures all over the walls. Erm... Put you off your game a little I can tell you that...

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

lol, then there's always Duke Nukem 3D with the Strip Club. Give the strippers a bit of cash and they were quite happy to show you their 'assets'.

Yeah, Dead Man Walking unlocks after the first game mode, the best I could do was just 5 minutes! 53 is amazing, then again, I never really used Bullet Time that much, I mainly just used the Shoot + Dodge combo, I might give it another try with your tips.
