I cant realy comment that much on your design since im pretty terrible at it myself. But your code seems pretty bad. Using HTML tables for layout is realy outdated and a very bad practise. You should be using <div> elements instead. Now that I look closer, it looks like you are using some div elements aswell. You could save some work on the css files by using relative paths, no need to have the URL in there, just write the name of the .css file and it should find it. You also shouldn't scale images using width/height in HTML/css. The server will still send the full size image and thereby increasing loadtimes and data usage on the page.

Regarding the design, it looks pretty unproffessional to me, there are so many diffirent styles (the header has one, the body has one, the navigation has one and the login screen has one). It will look a lot better if you use one design for the whole page. You should also try and allign things a bit better. Make all the content the same width and it will look a lot better. Also, what is the fish doing there?

I may have been a bit rough but ever since taking a webdesign course in school, all I can do when I see a page is critisize it

Lol, that's not criticize , its critic, I see all your points and will take that into a lot of consideration.

One thing to note, this is not a high traffic high selling pro site.

Its just for selling and or sharing models for people.

thank you for looking and sharing with me.

Edit: The fish is for fun, to see if I could do it there on the side page.

A little information on how to use these models might be nice. Also, what's with the login system?

Overall, nice simple layout that is easy to follow. It's nice to see all of the merchandise up front.

It looks very unprofessional and the color choices are not the best. It really could use a lot of work. The layout is decent but it needs to look more professional in my opinion.

Well for one the title of the website says "wrights media" it should say "Wrights Media" just simple correct grammar.

2nd sentence "look" needs to be capitalized.

This part "low cost, Soon, this site" There is a comma after low cost which should be a period because you have soon capitalized.

"To start we put all our stuff" Instead of "stuff" say "media" the word stuff is very unprofessional.

Your next title "media" should be "Media" Titles are always capitalized.

You spelled "sheriff" it should be "Sheriff" (Really need to work on capitalization.

Same with "cowboy" should be "Cowboy"

Also the media should not be on the home page. It should be on a separate page specifically for the media. The home page is for greeting people to your site and telling them what it is about. Maybe include a video on the front.

You should have a contact page.

That will help a lot. Really work on the grammar.

The elements on it don't have any flow, it just looks like you took three completely different art styles and mashed them together. For example, look at the header and the navigation bit, and then compare that to the login and the main section of the website. It looks too inconsistent. The layout per se is good, but not the design.

I don't think rounded corners of that size are in fashion anymore. Its either no rounded corner or a very small one.

A vertical navigation bar is also un-fashionable these days too. I can't remember the last time I've seen a website with one that wasn't web-app like facebook.

The banner needs re-doing. I don't think the blue/white gradient looks very good on black, and the image of the hand with the usb doesn't really fit into the ethos of the website.

I think there is also too much of a gap between the top of the page and the banner, and the coloured nubbins above it serve no purpose.

On the page itself the justification elements are all over the place. You've got a text box left justified at the top, then a heading thats somewhere inbetween left justified and centered then the rest of the things are centered. You should pick a justification and stick with it in any given section, otherwise your eyes are darting all over the place.

You need to make things consistent throughout your web design otherwise things tend to look a little mismatched.
Its also a good idea to look at your competitors websites, and see what they are up to.

Just a few of my thoughts!

I personally like the style. I mean, it's good enough and isn't intimidating like TurboSquid. I would highly recommend a tutorial page that tells people how to get the most out of your 3D models.

That looks a lot better. I would suggest fixing the allignment a bit more. Most webpages use a smaller width than the actual screen (sort of like you have done with the main content. The site gets a more closed look and works better on diffirent screen sizes. If you don't want to do that, you should atleast allign the content better. The "information square" looks left alligned while the rest of the content is centered. Other than that, the site looks pretty good now

Lose the beveled title font, looks too 90s generic.

Honestly, I think you should scrap the entire design and start over from scratch.

as far as the presentation of the models themselves, its great to show them rendered in engine, but if i am looking to buy, first thing i want to see after a presentation shot is wireframes, polycounts, what texture maps will it include and available formats. all of this seems to be missing, or not easily found. price should also be more prominent.

Just a suggestion Dan...

What about making the product images a little smaller (or use thumbnails that get large on mouseover? I have some code for that if you like). Your page will quickly get out of hand with more large content images. Use right or left align, then use the remaining side of each product block to format the information. Make a template so each product is displayed the same with the same info.(as stated above... polycounts, what texture maps will it include and available formats, etc)

Best of luck with it.

Brian.

Make the page smaller width wise. There is WAY too much white space on the main section, which you don't need.

Thanks for the input and I know, was trying to get rid of the extra white space but just could not do it in my html, there is nothing there but still it shows extra space.

You have a white page with lots of contrast but the screenshots are all dark with little contrast. As a result the screenshots look dark and murky which doesn't really show off the models. The cowboy model looks much better than the others just because the image is lighter and has some colour.

By way of demonstration, he emitted a batlike squeak that was indeed bothersome.

I didn't like your logo so I messed about with a few filters to make something marginally more appealing.
