Hello all!
Really not much to say, apart from I am making quite a large segment pack, which will probably total around 50 different segments, with variations of most!
Variations include:
Mossy/Grassier textures for variety
Wet and damper textures
Plain/Derelict/Totally Destroyed

I am focusing on Wood/Plank segments, but will be doing much more like plaster and derelict buildings (eg. inside a run down warehouse etc)

5 are done so far, as I started today, I just want to see if there is any interest in this, the pack will be free of course.

Here is a preview of two of the segments.

Mossy Variant:

Note:

Please respond if you would be interested in this pack!

There's always room for segments
so My vote is yes. inside a run down warehouse ,plaster and derelict buildings also can always be used.

Very nice media. I like the variants of that sort of room that fit together so a very detailed and cool environment can be made, instead of having the same texture on the wall repeatedly. Nice work.

Thank you very much, that is indeed what I was going for

Some more segments

Also, if anyone has the time, I just need someone to download two segments and test them out for me, I would greatly appreciate it and any of my media that I make in future you will receive for free
My email is jdknolling/at/gmail/dot/com (Remove the slashes)

Thanks heaps,
Illusion

Here is my favourite segment so far.
It comes in a cleaner version as well, without moss and the vine
(Can kinda see on the left)
Ignore the almost invisible seam as it has been fixed

Do the ones I have posted so far suit your needs or would you like more wood segments in the pack?

Hi Illusion,
They look very good are you doing windows and doors?

Like boarded up windows and old wooden doors (fake or usable)
an old rotten wooden trap door in the floor that could be opened would also be a nice touch.

Wooden beams to ceiling segment would add a nice touch.

Blood smeared wooden flooring or walls would be nice also.

Other than that it looks very cool

Thank you very much!
I am just starting out using blender, so wooded beams and stuff might be in the future.

Doors I can do though, same with the blood smear, I'll get started and post some tomorrow
Here's another wood segment for now though

Thanks again!

Thanks bro love the feedback

Some more screenshots!

More Destroyed & Mossy with Blood Smeared Floor

Edit: Another variant for this segment Dead vines with more damage.

Would anyone be able to download 1 or 2 of these and just test that the shaders are working etc? Would greatly appreciate it!

Update 22/08/2013

Expect the pack to be finished by around the 13th of September.
There will be around 50 segments, with variants of each, totalling hopefully to around 115 segments. (Some have more than one variety)

As for now, some more screenshots.

Subtle variant but adds detail regardless!

Feedback appreciated, also request what types of segments you would want to see! (Wood, concrete, plaster etc)

Hi Illusion,
These look great! good work!
I would like to see some old brick walls and slab flooring like in dungeons etc. with moss and grungy looking stone etc.

These can have loads of varients to large solid bricks to cracked small bricks this with the Bond1 shaders and normal mapping would be superb!

Thanks mate!
I was just starting on a brick segment, I will post pictures tonight as I am off to school

All of the segments in the pack come with _D2, _I and _N textures and use Bond1's norm_spec_tangentbasis shader.

Thanks again for the feedback and suggestions.

I very much like the run down segments (4 pictures up). Sadly this is not currently the right genre for me, but I still like it

Hi Illusion,
The brick segments are good but I am looking for more of this type of look -

Using normal maps etc. and Bond1 shaders

They have normal maps and Bond1's shaders. I don't believe I have a pixel 3 compatible card. If you would download and test them for me, that'd be great!

These look great. Just a tip, take advantage of the random texture feature for segments. That way you use a set of 3 slightly different variations of the same wall, so as to break up the repeditivness of a single tiled texture.

It involves a bit of extra work, but makes a big impact in your level's overall look.

Great work. Your pal, Cosmic.

Thanks Cosmic, have admired your work for years, a comment from you means alot

I was actually going to do that! As the pack is mainly for 'variety' (hence the name ) I have the
different variations so you are able to choose where the variations are, so e.g there in your segment bank there is
Room_1, Room_1_Variant, Room_1_Variant_2 etc, and I was
thinking about including 'Room_1_Random_Variant' as well, then |
you can either do it by selecting where you want each
one or randomly doing it, that should cater for everyone

Thanks sic1ne, I have been using cgtextures primarily for all of these haha

Glad you appreciate my work guys, will have some more pictures shortly.

@Sic1ne, is this what you were looking for? Or like red bricks?
There are two versions, regular and the other is "Bumpier" (just used the 'burn' tool along the grooves in photoshop)

Bumpy:

There will be mossy variants of course
