September 3D Competition: Cinema Parody

The monthly 3D competitions are back and the badges have been reset! This month\'s theme is: Cinema Parody. Take any piece of cinema or movie and build a model parody of it. It can be anything from a character, object or scene. Anything goes! Pick your favorite movie and be creative with your entry!

This competition runs from August 30th - September 25th. This should give us enough time to judge and get the results in the newsletter.

Good luck to everyone and I can\'t wait to see what the community comes up with!!

This one could be tough to come up with an idea.
Although probably easier to model then the real item.
I lost my badge in the last compo, and I was the only one to enter.
Go figure. LOL
Lets keep these compos alive, I forced my self to learn modeling
because of these compos.

Edit:Josh does this mean that the DEATH TOOTH is just one big cavity. That gives me an Idea!!!!

Haven't thought about it lol, but good idea. I started a Tie-Fighter, will post my results later today. Also redoing the textures for the X-wing, it's been bothering me like crazy since I posted it.

I'd hate to see what that summons lol. Nice entry!

Been slammed with work this past week, but I haven't forgotten about this! Made a start with the modelling. In the spirit of pushing myself, I think I will try to texture with some hand-painted wood as my digital painting skills need some serious work.

I will be doing "The Chess-knights Who Say Ni!"

Oh that's clever!!

I myself is having trouble getting the creative parts of my brain to wake up >_<
I'll have to come up with something quite soon though.

Just a few days left, but there is still time for a few more entries.

I know you can pull something together Quik. This theme was kind of hard to come up with a doable, interesting idea for, for me at least.

How about 'Alien vs Predator' where the alien is E.T. and the predator is a house cat?

Or something simpler 'Iron Man' which is a clothes iron with arms and legs. that should be a pretty quick model to knock out.

Anyway, here is some progress on mine. Need to finish the helm, add chat bubbles, do some shrubbery and backdrop, and get the spec levels under control.

Submissions are closed. Sad there was only two submissions. Was hoping this topic would be broad enough. Thanks for the entries, will get to voting!

Hope the next one gets more entries, will have to come up with something more clever.
