Somehow this very annoying toolbar got installed about 2 weeks ago. I've done everything I can to remove the toolbars/plugin/extensions from every browser, but they eventually come back.

There was an uninstall program in add/remove, but it left a lot behind. I deleted some of it, but there seems to be a few left behind.
I can't delete them however, as it appears their location is on a remote server, so I don't know exactly how they're turning up in my search results.

Dear oh dear oh dear oh dear, that looks real bad. I have never seen this error occur. It's a shame your anti-virus or malware tool not pick up this unwelcomed installation.

I would have tried to delete them in the command prompt, or using Dark BASIC or VB.NET or c# or some programmed procedure; but that is because I am quite confident that it will not disrupt my system, but I am not sure about yours; it is your call.

This also happened to me, I got rid of it by following this - http://malwaretips.com/blogs/visualbee-toolbar-removal/

Most of that I had already done, including malwarebytes. I manually removed the browser plugins, but follow that site's instructions for resetting the browser. Then I ran tdsskiller. Rebooted and did another search for visualbee. Only thing that shows up now is backup-20130812-102720-657.dll. I guess tdsskiller finds a few things others can't.

Far as I can tell now, I'm good and clean again! I think this got installed by a download manager program.

Apparently resetting FF removed all my bookmarks and plugins. That is annoying that it didn't even at least notify it was doing that.

That doesn't sound quite right; your firefox stuff should be here: C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles.

Well I rarely use FF, so it's possible I didn't have any bookmarks to begin with. But I know I had several "add-ons" (sorry not plugins).
