Why don't you email the author and ask him?

It seems highly unlikely that the source code is publicly available, since it was such a high quality game ( and is now a commercial game rewritten in another language ) but he might let you have some of it if you could give him a specific idea of which part you were interested in.

In my experience, reading someone else's source code if useful only in small parts. If someone gave me the entire source code to a game, I wouldn't have a clue what to do with it, even if I was capable of writing it myself from scratch.
