Well the story for this "insane" free web design idea is that I want to make a career with it but the sad fact is it takes experience to make experience, even though I've made sites of my own it's just not enough!!! So I thought if I could make some websites for some random user who maybe interestd

I can use Flash, PHP, HTML (this is of course needed ), Java, and anything you throw at me.

Since I've got my college work on the go I can only select a number of users but I'll just see how things go for now.

NOTE: I will only design the website, meaning I will not be hosting it...

Please please please lose the shaking... o_O Your website is fine without it... please... o_O And it would upgrade the sites look if you had a 1 width dark border around the website with a lighter gray inside to try and break up the enourmous space you have left on the left and right due to low res user I know... o_O it would seperate your site from it then you could apply a gradiant grey background like on http://www.underwaredesign.com ^_^ if you find this offensive I will gladly edit or delete my post...

I completly agree about the shaking. No offense, but it's probably on of the most annoying things you could do to a website short of massive amounts of popups

Don't suppose you know how they do that? Is it just an image or something else?

Just worth noting that the gradient is a directX extension, and so is only available on IE5.5+ AND Windows machines. Gradients do not appear on mac/linux or any other system.

Worth noting in case you spend weeks doing lovely graphics only for some other OS user to say "Where's the 'style'"

True, but when you're using it for something as simple as a background it's not really that nescessary to have all browsers supported because the site would still look fine with a solid background.
