Hi....I would like some advice about the best 3D modeling software program to use that is fully compatible with DB (full online version).

I have had considerable experience in 2D as I work as a computer generated graphic artist, but Oh boy...when it comes 2 3D I am indeed in the 'Dark' and need some real user friendly prog and indeed it needs to start with the 'Basic' and fundamentals but still b powerful to generate 3D images that would b of a high enough standard to import into DB. Oh 1 other minor point as I live in New Zealand (where our dollar is economically pitifull) I am not able 2 afford some of the 'high end' commercial progs available.

Thanks 2 all those who have answered a couple of previous posts, and I hope I may b able 2 come 2 a decision based on a consensus of opinion from those experienced in this area.

there is a freeware modeling program called metaseg or something like that. The freeware version can save to direct x format. If you can access the configuration files you will be able to use bitmaps and the program is very easy to use.http://www21.ocn.ne.jp/~mizno/main_e.html
